After picking Michel up, Michael had world hopped them back to Earth. He didn't take them to any of the large cities - it would be all to easy for something to go wrong and for him to get caught - but instead took him to the same place Nena had dragged him shopping in California. It had seemed safe enough.

You know, I've never been to Earth. I was born and raised out in space.

[Michel's only a couple of steps behind of Michael. He's not too curious about where they're heading. But is, instead, more than comfortable to simply appreciate their surroundings.

Sure, he's been to malls before, they had that on the Macross, but it still seemed strange to be in a mall... on Earth. Even if it wasn't technically 'his' Earth, it was almost how he had always imagined it to be. Since he lived in space, lived with 'aliens', the world where Michael lived seemed to be more human than his.]
